Now in its 15th iteration, this juried biennial showcase features works by Mid-Atlantic artists that push or explore the boundaries of traditional painting.
Juror: Michael O’Sullivan, a Washington-based writer, critic, and former Washington Post visual arts contributor.
The [(Not) Strictly Painting 15] exhibition runs from Sept 10 through Nov 7, 2026, at the McLean Project for the Arts.
An Artist Talk is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, followed by a Tea & Talk on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
Hours: Emerson Gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Atrium Gallery is open during community center hours.
